The Lifehouse Children's Home and its grounds in the Dominican Republic, bathed in warm afternoon light
Christian Ministry · Dominican Republic

A home where hope is restored, one girl at a time.

A Christ-centered home for vulnerable girls in the Dominican Republic. Rooted in the local church, built as a family, formed by the Gospel.

Our Foundation
“God makes a home for the lonely; He leads out the prisoners into prosperity.”
— Psalm 68:6a

The Need

Girls in the Dominican Republic face silent, urgent risks.

Violence, instability, child marriage, and adolescent pregnancy are not distant statistics. They are quiet, common realities in the lives of far too many girls.

Lifehouse exists because the local church is not silent. Rooted in the body of Christ, we are building a family — a home where each girl is known, protected, and slowly restored.

This is the work of enduring faithfulness. It is Gospel work lived out in common ways on the most ordinary days.

What Lifehouse Provides

A family, not a facility.

The work of Lifehouse is patient, ordinary, and Gospel-centered. These are the six shapes it takes.

  1. 01Provision

    A Christian family

A small, stable family unit built on the Gospel — presence over programs, and steady love over time.

  2. 02Provision

    Safety and belonging

A place where the nervous system can rest, doors close gently, and each girl knows she is home.

  3. 03Provision

    Therapy and healing

Trauma-informed care that respects each story and gives space for the slow work of restoration.

  4. 04Provision

    Education

Consistent schooling that opens doors and helps prepare each girl for a hopeful future.

  5. 05Provision

    Discipleship

Growing in an identity as a beloved daughter of the King — Scripture, prayer, and lived faith.

  6. 06Provision

    Partnership with the local church

The ministry is rooted in the local body, not apart from it. The church is family alongside the home.

Mission & Values

Rooted in the Gospel. Practiced in daily life.

Through discipleship and partnership with the local church, we exist to care for children at risk by providing them with a Christian home where the Gospel is lived out and where they can grow safely into the people God created them to be.

  • Christ-Centered

The Gospel shapes every rhythm of the home — worship, family life, and the slow work of healing.

  • Integrity

We steward every relationship, resource, and story with honesty and care.

  • Compassion

We meet each girl where she is with patience, presence, and long faithfulness.

  • Community

Belonging is essential. We build a family, and we walk with the local church.

  • Unity

We collaborate with other ministries in the Dominican Republic, host many pastors and short-term mission teams, and function because of the prayers of many believers — one body, one mission.

Rooted in the Global Church

We do not serve alone.

Lifehouse is a ministry of the global church — not apart from it. Pastors, families, and prayer supporters of the Dominican and US-based churches walk with us. Together, we are one body doing one work.

We are grateful for our partnerships with Daystar Baptist Missions, the US-based churches that support us annually, and the local body that carries the weight of the work in our home.

The Prayer Wall

Bring your prayer.Stand with ours.

Every request is prayed over by our team. Every request is quietly reviewed before it appears here — so this wall stays a safe place to bring what is heavy.
