A Christ-centered home for vulnerable girls in the Dominican Republic.
Lifehouse Children's Home partners with the local church to provide vulnerable girls in the Dominican Republic with a Christ-centered home, discipleship, education, therapy, and lasting hope.

Walking with girls into hope.
We exist to provide vulnerable girls in the Dominican Republic with a Christ-centered home — a place of safety, belonging, discipleship, healing, and long-term care.
Every girl is created in the image of God. Every girl belongs in a family. Our work is small, patient, and rooted in the ordinary faithfulness of the local church.
Ordinary days, held together.
Planting in the morning, a birthday table in the evening, and the long open field behind the house — this is what belonging looks like here.

What shapes our life together.
Christ-Centered
The Gospel shapes every rhythm of the home — worship, family life, and the slow work of healing.
Integrity
We steward every relationship, resource, and story with honesty and care.
Compassion
We meet each girl where she is with patience, presence, and long faithfulness.
Community
Belonging is essential. We build a family, and we walk with the local church.
Unity
We collaborate with other ministries in the Dominican Republic, host many pastors and short-term mission teams, and function because of the prayers of many believers — one body, one mission.
We serve alongside a wider body.
Daystar Baptist Missions
We are a ministry of Daystar, a stateside, international mission agency.
DR Vision
The ministries of Daystar that reside in the Dominican Republic are collectively called DR Vision.
Local and Global Church Partnerships
We are sustained by the physical work of the local church and the financial support of many US-based organizations and churches.
Questions we hear often.
What is Lifehouse Children's Home?
Lifehouse Children's Home is a Christian ministry serving vulnerable girls in the Dominican Republic through a safe family environment, discipleship, education, therapy, and local church partnership.
Who does Lifehouse serve?
Lifehouse serves girls who face serious risks such as violence, instability, child marriage, and adolescent pregnancy. Public communications intentionally protect their identities and locations.
Where do the girls come from?
Lifehouse receives cases from CONANI or direct protection orders of local judges. While we are not privileged to know much of their story prior to being placed, we receive cases of children who have been orphaned, abandoned, abused, and neglected. With each case, we look for healthy, biological family members with whom each girl can remain connected as we seek to serve her individual needs.
Where do the girls go when they age out?
Lifehouse created a young adult transitional program about 5 years ago for girls aging out of care. The young adult can choose to remain part of our program if she is willing to remain under our authority. She will receive help with transitioning into independence, like a budgeting course, housing stipend, job help, and continued education. The amount of help we give is based on individual needs. We currently have one adult in the Lifehouse Transitional Program.
How does Lifehouse care for the girls?
Lifehouse uses a Christ-centered family model focused on safety, belonging, discipleship, healing, education, and long-term support in partnership with the local church.
